Am I eligible to participate in the challenge? We are accepting all underclassmen (grades 9 - 11) and faculty and staff who do not mind competing with the students. If you know you are physically capable of completing the course, then there's no reason as to why you cannot sign up. PLEASE do not participate if it jeopardizes the safety of you or other participants.
Where can I sign up? You can click on the SIGN UP tab at the top, or check out our flyer for the link. Complete the form and an email will be sent out to further elaborate on necessary information.
How long is the course? It's roughly a half mile in distance, but as a fair warning, the course is definitely NOT all flat ground. There are a lot of trenches filled with water and a few hills.
Do you need to be in great shape to do this? Not really, but it'd definitely help.
Is it safe? That all depends on how safe you plan to be. If you're careful and courteous to other runners, you should be fine and get out of there with minimal injuries. There's definitely a risk involved, but we've taken all safety measures into consideration. Medics will be on site in case of an emergency. Just have a good attitude and try not to hurt anyone or yourself.
What if it rains? Are you kidding? We're COUNTING on it raining. The wetter it is, the muddier the course will be. And the muddier the course, the more fun it gets!
What do I wear? Before the event happens, there will be a form sent out recommending what to wear. But just in case you don't have time to look at that, just wear any exercise clothes you don't mind getting dirty. This includes shirt, shorts, shoes, socks, and undergarments. But really, don't get mad if you get a lot of mud on you. Odds are... you WILL get a lot of mud on you.
Where is it going to be at? If you ever get the chance to look towards the mala, you'll see the goat's living quarters. Everything just beyond that is the mud run. You'll get a better look at it later.
